Embassy Suites Jacksonville is looking for a dependable and service-focused Houseperson to join our housekeeping team! This role is essential in ensuring our guests have an exceptional stay by maintaining cleanliness in public areas, assisting with room setup, delivering guest requests, and supporting housekeeping staff. Ideal candidates are energetic, organized, and committed to providing outstanding hospitality.

Position Summary
The Houseperson ensures assigned room attendants have all supplies required to clean rooms in a timely manner and ensures all assigned floors are free of debris and linen.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Supply room attendants with all supplies required to maintain and clean guest rooms.
Ensure all assigned floors are clear of debris and linen.
Maintains assigned vending alcoves.
Stocks and maintains closets with shipments as they arrive.
Empties trash on assigned elevator lands.
Delivers amenities requested by in-house guests.
Stocks shipments in designated closets.
Assists with pulling linen from linen chute when necessary.
Assists with flipping mattresses and moving furniture when necessary.
Keeps all assigned floors neat, vacuumed and dusted.
Assists guests with questions or concerns when approached.
Makes sure all surfaces are clean and tidy on assigned floors.
Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance.
Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
Displays excellent communication skills including presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills required in working with guests and coworkers and including the ability to communicate effectively, remain calm and courteous under pressure.
Respectfully takes direction from supervisor.
Complies with all safety policies, practices and procedures and reports all unsafe activities to supervisor.
Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve hotel and company goals.
Provides leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge and skills.
Performs other duties as assigned.
