Overview
Operates company vehicles and provides courteous and efficient delivery and pickup of packages; verifies shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service; covers assigned routes within the station's service area; provides related customer service functions; performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education
High school diploma or GED.
Minimum Experience
Six months courier experience preferred. Must be able to demonstrate area knowledge.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to lift 50 lbs. and maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance.
Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
Thorough knowledge of the station’s service area preferred.
Demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
Job Conditions
Neat appearance required due to customer contact. Must meet qualifications outlined in federal motor carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam per FMCSA or FAA regulations. Must obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record per policy.
