Title: Resident Services Assistant
Type: Full Time
Location: Joplin, MO
Starting wage: $15.75 – $19.00 per hour
Shift schedule: Wednesday – Friday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm; Saturday & Sunday 9:00 am – 3:30 pm
Responsibilities
Assist in and maintain a quality activities program that enriches the lives of the seniors in the community.
Ensure residents’ engagement and satisfaction every day through compassionate, first‑class service.
Arrange, manage, and execute transfer of enthusiasm for Resident Services events and programming.
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Prior experience conducting group activities in senior housing.
Knowledge of appropriate care and supervision requirements for residents.
Clear verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to follow written and verbal directions and apply practical solving skills.
Positive and energetic attitude.
Professional appearance and conduct.
Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and competency in leadership, supervision, time management, and organization; ability to promote activities and programs.
Ability to lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.)
Criminally cleared.
Good health, physically and mentally capable; medical screening within 6 months prior to or 7 days after employment, including tuberculosis test.
Position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping most of the day with occasional sedentary periods of 1–3 hours; ability to retrieve items from storage or overhead bins.
Clean driving record required; possession and maintenance of specific state‑required chauffeur class license.
