ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

Maintain and clean up the area in and around the donation trailer/pod at the beginning and end of each shift.

Appear neatly and cleanly dressed in suitable clothing as per The Salvation Army dress code policy.

Courteously assist the donor in the removal of all donated items from the donor’s vehicle and provide receipt.

Maintain all reports and paperwork as instructed by the Supervisor.

Separate and sort all donated material into the proper containers, and properly stack material as instructed by Supervisor.

Assist TSA drivers/PAs with loading donations on to trucks as necessary.

Inform Supervisor of needed items prior to running out (i.e.: brooms, receipts, totes, carts, etc.)

At the end of each shift, the Donation Attendant must secure and lock the area.

Maintain good working relations with property or store managers.

Other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned, from time to time, by Supervisor.

The position is located outdoors but can be indoors as well. The environment includes noisy background, exposure to outdoor elements including air dust, debris, dirt, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School graduate or equivalent Required

Ability to communicate effectively with employees and donors

Ability to work independently with minimum supervision

Ability to provide good customer service to donors. Previous customer service experience preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, stoop, crouch, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.

Ability to lift, carry, reach, push and pull

Ability to lift/push/pull up to 25-50lbs with or without assistance.

Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks
