Food & Beverage Attendant
in our lobby lounge, Pilina, you will be a hospitality ambassador that will connect our guests to the delectable cuisine and libations inspired by our diverse culture and island home. You will play a crucial role in supporting our servers and bartenders to ensure that we provide an impeccable dining experience for our guests. Your attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and passion for the guest experience will contribute to maintaining high standards of service.
Hourly rate: $23.04
What you will be doing
Responsible for providing Food & Beverage service within Fairmont & Leading Quality Assurance (LQA) standards. Areas of responsibility will include and are not limited to the following:
Adhere to daily checklist and duties assigned
Assist Food & Beverage Servers in all aspects of the dining experience to include but not limited to running food, table maintenance and beverage service
Clear and reset tables in a timely manner while adhering to sanitation guidelines and Fairmont Kea Lani procedures
Ensure the proper set up and break down of all side stations in the venue
Deliver food or drinks to the guest at the table according to LQA standards
Check service stations for necessary equipment and set up
Have full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods for all food and beverage venues on property
Actively participate in monthly departmental sales promotions
Adhere to the State of Hawaii & EHC food handling safety standards
Organize time so all side work is completed according to shift demand
Maintain atmosphere of aloha spirit by providing engaging, personalized, timely, and efficient service to our discerning guests
Focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Schedule
Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees are required to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate the business and demands of the hotel.
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the English language.
Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
Must be service oriented and capable of communicating effectively with persons involved in all levels of authority, both internally and externally.
Must possess basic computational ability.
Must be able to multi-task and be detail-oriented in a fast paced, high volume environment.
Must have ability to work independently and to prioritize or seek clarification in prioritizing work assignments.
Must be able to work well with others.
Maintain a professional working environment and attitude.
Education
High School diploma (or equivalent) and/or vocational training
Experience
Minimum of one year of food and beverage experience is required
Previous experience in a high-volume, luxury hotel environment is an asset
Licenses or Certificates (*required prior to start date)
TB Clearance required
Food Safety Certification or ServSafe Certification required
