Role Summary/Purpose
The Indirect Procurement Specialist is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing the procurement of non-production goods and services that support business operations. This includes categories such as facilities, maintenance, professional services, logistics, and office supplies. The role focuses on cost optimization, supplier performance, and ensuring service continuity across the organization.
Responsibilities
Manage procurement activities for indirect spend categories (e.g., MRO, facilities, marketing, and professional services)
Source and evaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, service levels, and contractual terms
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service agreements to achieve cost savings and favorable terms
Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with company goals and budgets
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (IT, HR, Finance, Operations) to understand procurement needs and specifications
Analyze spend data to identify cost‑saving opportunities and improve procurement efficiency
Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs)
Manage contract lifecycle, including renewals, amendments, and compliance documentation
Ensure adherence to company procurement policies and regulatory requirements
Support continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes and systems
Requirements & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, or related field preferred
3–6 years of procurement experience, preferably in indirect categories
Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, CIMJIT) and procurement tools
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
Experience managing multiple indirect spend categories
Knowledge of contract management and supplier risk assessment
Professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, CIPS)
Experience with spend analytics tools or e‑procurement platforms
Strategic sourcing and category management
Stakeholder engagement and cross‑functional collaboration
Cost analysis and budget management
Problem‑solving and decision‑making
Occasional travel for supplier meetings or contract negotiations
