Responsibilities
Leadership:
Guide branch associates and leaders, build effective teams and serve as a resource and role model
Provide excellent leadership, support, tools and resources to ensure associates excel in their positions
Identify improvement areas and coach, mentor and train associates to be proficient in their roles
Champion the safety program for the branch
Lead technological advancements and continuous improvement projects
Hire, onboard, train, coach, mentor and, if needed, discipline operational roles
Act as Manager on Duty in the absence of the Branch Manager
Accountabilities / Responsibilities:
Directly manage an operations team responsible for receiving, shipping, inventory management, fabrication and customer service levels
Ensure elevated customer service using “The Master Halco Way”
Maintain clean, safe and efficient facilities and equipment meeting company standards
Act as the safety leader for the region, ensuring all safety standards and goals are met
Follow proper SOPs and company policies
Identify and execute cost optimization and reduction strategies (overtime, trucking, material handling, process flow, etc.)
Create or implement continuous improvement projects as needed
Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with company objectives
Champion technological enhancements such as RFID inventory management
Perform hands‑on operational tasks as needed
Handle special projects assigned by Branch Manager

Required Education and Experience
High School Graduate or associate’s degree, two‑year college, or technical school with equivalent work experience
At least five (5) years’ relevant experience in warehouse or yard operations, with two (2) plus years in operations leadership
Excellent computer skills: Outlook, Excel, Word, ERP system experience
