Specialty Mechanical Supervisor
HPC-Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, is looking for a Specialty Mechanical Supervisor to work at a customer location and join their safety‑conscious team. The supervisor will manage daily operations of the service line crew, ensuring compliance with company policies, driving operational efficiencies, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

Instructs, provides feedback, directs, and assists crew in performing job duties to complete work in accordance with client requirements and company policies.

Enforces company employee policies and may remove an employee from the job when required.

Schedules jobs and crews; dispatches crews based on calls received on nights and weekends.

Acts as Operations Manager or Branch Manager when requested.

Reads work orders and ensures required equipment is available and operational prior to starting a job.

Inspects equipment and general work area before starting any job, correcting deficiencies that may cause accidents, injuries, lost productivity, or harm to equipment or are inconsistent with client requirements.

Informs clients as required regarding job status and client requirements.

Performs preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment when required.

Completes all appropriate paperwork including service receipts and submits to designated management.

Trains technicians and operators on‑the‑job in equipment operation, service line processes, and necessary paperwork.

Operates all necessary equipment in the service line (chemical, hydro‑blasting, painting, blasting, and vacuum) in accordance with operation training and safety procedures.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Must be able to wear protective clothing or equipment (Nomex coveralls, back belt, slicker suits, rubber boots, fresh air breathing mask, escape pack, and hard hat).

Must be able to work under extreme conditions (excessive heat index of 95+ degrees Fahrenheit, 98% humidity, and subzero weather conditions).

Must be able to withstand exposure to dust (chemical and environmental), fumes (chemical and fluids), exhaust, and highly pressurized fluids.

Minimum of 5+ years of experience within the industrial cleaning industry; prior supervisory experience preferred.

Valid driver’s license and adherence to company driving policy when driving company vehicle or using personal vehicle on company business.

Specific vocational preparation including classroom safety training and on‑the‑job training.

Language proficiency: understand English sufficiently to comprehend safety training and respond to instructions in emergency situations.

OSHA certification may be required.

Knowledgeable in operation of emergency equipment such as fire extinguishers.

Strong knowledge of equipment used in leak sealing, machining, bolting, isolation.

May need to provide Federal Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC).
