Tank Cleaning Technician I
HPC-Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, is looking for a traveling Tank Cleaning Technician I to join their safety-conscious team.

The role supports work during industrial tank cleaning operations and follows all site-specific safety guidelines and protocols, including instructions from site supervisory personnel. The Technician serves as a representative of HPC-Industrial and maintains ongoing relationships with clients/customers. This opportunity is ideal for transitioning military personnel.

The Technician operates various mechanical and manual servicing equipment, including centrifugal pumps for industrial services, waste management, and tank cleaning, following HPC-established methods, policies, practices, and applicable regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensures health and safety by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.

Transports, carries, and connects hoses, fittings, pumps, and other site-related equipment.

Monitors and operates special equipment such as pumps, breathing air equipment, and tools to enable tank cleaning.

Operates equipment according to procedures and safe practices.

Follows orders from site supervisory personnel.

Donning and doffing HazMat PPE and entering confined spaces to aid in cleaning large storage tanks.

May be required to perform physically strenuous duties such as removing product or sludge while in the tank wearing HazMat PPE.

Performs additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

2+ years related experience.

May need to provide a Federal Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC).

Basic safety courses, including site-specific procedures; successful completion of all required and OSHA training as a condition of employment.

Physically capable of performing all duties and responsibilities for the position.

Must have access to a telephone and comply with physical requirements.

Attention to detail.

Ability to follow procedures.

Safe driving.

Reading, writing, and comprehension in English.

High school diploma or equivalent.
