
Public Utilities Regulatory Analyst I - Public Advocates Office/ Water/ San Fran

Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Program and Project Supervisor of the Water Branch, the incumbent represents and advocates for ratepayer interests on issues affecting the appropriate revenue requirement and rates for CPUC-regulated Class A Water Utilities in General Rate Cases and other rate-setting cases. The incumbent primarily analyzes utility proposals, examines utility accounting practices and recorded costs, forecasts data, and recommends actions. The incumbent researches, writes reports, testifies in CPUC proceedings, coordinates with project teams, and assists with presentations under the direction of higher-level staff. The incumbent will also perform other job-related work as required, such as coordinating with other California agencies and organizations and responding to other parties.
Working Conditions
This position requires travel.
This is a hybrid position that will require the selected candidate to report to their assigned headquarter office a minimum of two (2) days a week. Hybrid positions may be eligible for telework under California Government Code Section 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California. In accordance with CPUC Telework Policy, telework arrangements are subject to change and may be reevaluated at any time.
