Essex Westford School District (EWSD)
is seeking an exceptional Office Manager/Registrar to join the team at
Thomas Fleming Elementary School . This high-impact role is ideal for a skilled professional who thrives in a fast-paced school environment and understands that the front office is central to both daily operations and the overall school climate. Acting as a key partner to the Principal, the Office Manager delivers comprehensive administrative support, including oversight of office operations, coordination of daily school functions, and management of registrar and reporting responsibilities.
The position is a full-time, year-round with a start date as soon as possible, and no later than July 1, 2026.
What you’ll do
Respond to questions, solve problems, and help ensure strong communication across the school community
Serve as a key administrative partner to the Principal, supporting effective school operations, clear communication, and timely follow-through on priorities
Provide a welcoming, professional front office presence as the primary point of contact for students, families, staff, and visitors
Oversee and maintain office systems, communications, records, and workflows with a high level of accuracy and discretion
Foster a collaborative, team-oriented environment by building positive relationships across the school community
Manage student information processes including but not limited to: registration, attendance, enrollment, and records in alignment with district requirements
Support hourly staff with electronic timekeeping and absence management systems
Assist with purchasing activities and related budget processes
Address questions, troubleshoot issues, and promote clear, consistent communication throughout the school community

Candidates with the following qualifications are encouraged to apply
High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary coursework in office administration or related field preferred
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a school or office setting, preferably in a coordinating or administrative support role
Proficient technology skills including Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and database systems
Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a school environment
Demonstrated discretion and ability to handle confidential information
Knowledge of school operations is preferred
Bookkeeping/accounting experience and/or training also preferred
Job Requirements
At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
