Key Job Responsibilities

Review and understand the transportation process from Fulfillment Centres to delivery stations.

Measure and ensure sufficient bandwidth in the sortation team to handle peak time delivery management.

Assist and work alongside Area Managers to review performance appraisals of station supervisors and learn how to mentor them for efficient operations.

Continuously improve throughput and attain sustained delivery performance improvement.

Review and assist in analysing data reports to identify performance bottlenecks and improve performance.

Research and review formal process control and process improvement mechanisms such as Kaizen.

You could be placed at any site across Victoria, New South Wales, Western Australia, or Queensland. Candidates must be open to relocation. Relocation stipend will be provided outside of the internship stipend.

About the Team
As an Area Manager Intern, you are part of something bigger and amazing. This is not a corporate role; you will be based in the heart of the action at one of our Fulfillment Centres, working with other Area Managers, support staff, and learning everything you need to know about how Amazon Operations works. You will be provided with a mentor who will support and guide your work, along with a strong intern support network.

Basic Qualifications

Currently in your penultimate year of study in Supply Chain/Logistics, Engineering, Business Management, Industrial Technology, Economics, Industrial Design, Actuarial Science, Business Information Systems, Commerce, undergraduate or postgraduate graduating in 2027.

Motivated to learn process improvement.

Ability to work under pressure situations.

Ability to work in ambiguous situations and produce solutions appropriate to the circumstances.

Preferred Qualifications

Some work experience, whether through placement years, internships or university.
