Legal Secretary/Assistant– Hackensack, NJ (On-Site, 5 Days/Week)
Our client, a well-established and highly respected law firm in Hackensack, NJ, is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join their team. Compensation & Benefits
Competitive base salary up to $80K (Depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities
Provide high-level administrative support to multiple attorneys
Draft, edit, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and memoranda
Manage busy calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate conference calls
Handle high-volume phone communication and client interactions professionally
Maintain and organize client files and matter tracking systems
Process expense reports, check requests, and client documentation
Manage incoming/outgoing mail, email, and document workflows
Enter attorney time into billing systems and assist with timekeeping
Support document management through scanning, filing, and retrieval systems
Assist with dictation and additional administrative needs as required
Qualifications
5+ years of experience as a Legal Secretary or in a similar role
Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
Strong typing skills (65+ WPM with high accuracy)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
Experience with timekeeping systems (Carpe Diem or similar preferred)
Familiarity with document management systems (e.g., Hummingbird or similar)
Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities
