Transit Technician
Starting salary: $20.00 per hour, rising to $20.50 after passing required certification (approx. 6 months).
Responsibilities
Perform corrective and preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs, and adjustments to all train “monorail” systems and components of an electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic nature
Repair or replace defective parts utilizing manuals, drawings, specs, or other written or verbal instructions.
Apply technical knowledge of electronic principles to solve problems using diagrams, schematics, engineering data and test equipment
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
2 years of electronic and/or mechanical experience, or equivalent technical school training
Must have excellent electronics and mechanical troubleshooting skills
Ability to maintain detailed records of troubleshooting and repairs
Ability to work holidays and weekends
Valid Nevada driver's license, highly dependable
Must be able to communicate in written and spoken English (for safety reasons)
Ability to work day/swing
