Job Description
We are seeking a Food Service Worker to assist the manager with food/meal preparation, maintain cash receipts and meal records, and help complete daily reports. The role maintains high standards of food quality, sanitation, and kitchen safety practices.

Compensation:

$17.25 per hour.

Job Responsibilities

Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu.

Prepare daily reports that verify transactions.

Understand meal inclusions.

Ensure food storage is accurate and sanitary.

Serve food according to meal schedules, department policies, and procedures.

Use and care for kitchen equipment, especially knives.

Prepare a variety of food items and beverages timely.

Add garnishments to ensure customer happiness and appeal.

Coordinate and assist in major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and cooking and serving equipment.

Adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation, food handling, and storage.

Adhere to the uniform policy.

Connect with the Manager daily to understand and prepare the menu for the day.

Supervise food temperature requirements.

Maintain a clean and organized work and storage area.

Scrub and polish counters, clean and sanitize steam tables and other equipment.

Follow established procedures and standards for cleanliness to ensure a safe environment; duties include sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing.

Maintain garbage collection sites and kitchen floor areas in a neat and sanitary fashion.

Perform other duties as assigned, including other areas in the kitchen.

This role may have physical demands including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking, and standing. Uniforms and/or personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required.

Qualifications

Food Service Certificate as needed.

Education or training sufficient to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions.

Ability to work quickly and concisely under pressure.
