Engineering Intern
Location: US-MD-Sparks
Employment Type: Full-Time Temporary (seasonal) – 40 hours
Pay: $15.00 – $23.00 per hour
Overview
We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated college students (rising juniors, seniors, or graduate students) to join our Marine team with a focus on diving projects.
Interns will work under the guidance of a technical manager within KCI’s structural engineering practice, gaining hands‑on experience with real‑world diving projects. The summer internship will work 40 hours a week for approximately 10 weeks.
Duties, Responsibilities & Other
Must be enrolled in a college engineering program focused on Civil Engineering or related field
Assist in creating plans, quantities, and cost estimates for bridge projects
Conduct data analysis and reporting related to structural engineering
Complete field surveys or laboratory assignments specific to bridge engineering
Engage in entry‑level engineering, design, or drafting tasks
Prepare engineering studies and coordinate design plans with other disciplines
Apply quality control procedures in alignment with ISO standards
Qualifications
Enrolled in a college Engineering program
MicroStation or AutoCAD skills desired but not required
No experience required
Minimum GPA 3.0
Pre- employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position
