Job Title: Journeyman Electrician
We are seeking a skilled journeyman electrician to support solar construction projects across Oklahoma. This role focuses on installing and securing solar panels and related electrical components on rooftops, ground mounts, and other structures while ensuring all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local electrical codes, and Oklahoma state licensing requirements. You will support projects from site assessment through final inspection, performing basic electrical tasks, collaborating with installation teams and inspectors, and maintaining a safe, well‑documented job site.

Responsibilities

Install and secure solar panels on rooftops, ground mounts, and other structures using appropriate hand and power tools.

Mount racking systems, inverters, and related hardware according to project plans and design specifications.

Ensure all work complies with NEC, local electrical codes, and Oklahoma state regulations.

Perform basic electrical tasks, including connecting equipment, verifying proper grounding, and inspecting conduit runs.

Conduct site assessments to confirm accurate measurements, layout, and placement of solar equipment.

Follow all OSHA safety standards and maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times.

Collaborate with installation crews, project managers, and inspectors to support timely and successful project completion.

Document work performed, including installed components and field adjustments, and assist with quality checks and inspections as needed.

Essential Skills & Requirements

Active Oklahoma State Journeyman Electrician License (Required) – or a license with reciprocity.

Strong proficiency in electrical work, including conduit installation and wiring.

Ability to interpret and apply NEC and local electrical code requirements.

Experience using hand and power tools for construction and electrical tasks.

Ability to perform basic electrical troubleshooting, grounding verification, and conduit inspection.

Strong commitment to workplace safety and OSHA compliance.

Ability to work effectively as part of a construction and installation team.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Prior experience in construction environments, particularly solar or renewable energy projects, is preferred.

Familiarity with mounting racking systems, inverters, and related solar hardware.

Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Strong communication skills for coordinating with project managers, inspectors, and crew members.

High attention to detail for accurate measurements, layout, and documentation.

Work Environment

Work is performed in a construction‑focused environment emphasizing safety, OSHA compliance, and adherence to electrical codes.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, KS.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $99.43–$99.43/hr.
