Job Overview

Location: Hawesville, Kentucky, USA (42348).

Position:

Paper Machine Coordinator – Fine Paper Mill Hawesville (FPM H2)

(Full‑time, permanent).

Responsibilities

Support the H2 Paper Machine Superintendent in attaining safety, reliability, cost, customer satisfaction, and quality goals.

Establish, maintain, and support accident‑free workplace programs for the H2 Paper Machine Department.

Align department goals with corporate and mill‑wide objectives.

Assist with production scheduling, maintenance planning, and all machine outages.

Track operational preventive maintenance, felt usage, change‑out frequency, and inventory.

Collaborate with crews to update SOPs and improve lockout programs for all equipment.

Ensure product quality standards are met or exceeded.

Maintain customer satisfaction systems.

Promote sustainable, environmentally responsible manufacturing processes.

Drive continuous cost improvement initiatives.

Maintain reliable operations and a consistent manufacturing process.

Support equipment maintenance priorities and labor relations.

Make off‑hour production calls and guide mill operations during weekends and holidays as needed.

Participate in cross‑functional teams within the corporation.

Serve as Assistant Superintendent during vacation coverage.

Maintain supplies and inventory for paper machine equipment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of six years’ relevant work experience or an equivalent mix of post‑secondary education and experience.

Pulp and paper industry experience.

Knowledge of effective safety practices and a proven ability to advance a safety culture.

Strong leadership, communication, analytical, planning, and organizational skills.

Demonstrated people‑development skills.

Desired Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Knowledge of maintenance practices.

Paper machine experience preferred.

SAP knowledge.

Microsoft Office proficiency (Project, Outlook, Excel, etc.).

Competency with information databases.
