As a
Maintenance Mechanic , you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation within an aerospace and defense manufacturing environment. You will play a critical role in minimizing downtime, supporting production schedules, and maintaining compliance with quality and safety standards in a mission‑critical facility.
This role may require working a
rotational schedule
to support continuous manufacturing operations.

The team supports
low‑to‑medium volume, high mix manufacturing , requiring strong technical skills, adaptability, and disciplined preventive maintenance practices. Maintenance mechanics are empowered to identify issues, recommend improvements, and contribute directly to operational excellence.
What You Will Do
In this role, you will provide hand‑on technical support to maintain manufacturing readiness and equipment reliability. Key responsibilities include:
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on manufacturing and facility equipment
Perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize unplanned downtime
Support production by responding promptly to equipment breakdowns and operational issues
Maintain and repair automated and semiautomated manufacturing equipment
Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, drawings, and work instructions
Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage in maintenance management systems
Identify recurring equipment issues and recommend corrective actions or improvements
Support equipment installations, moves, upgrades, and commissioning activities
Follow all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements, including lockout/tagout and EHS procedures
Collaborate with manufacturing engineering, operations, and external vendors as needed
Support audits and inspections by maintaining equipment compliance and documentation
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment reliability and maintenance practices
Work assigned shifts, including rotational schedules, overtime, or on‑call support as required
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training preferred
Minimum of 3‑5 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic or technician in a manufacturing environment
Hands‑on experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial manufacturing equipment
Working knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical controls, pneumatics, and hydraulics
Ability to read and understand technical documentation and schematics
Ability to safely lift, move, and work around industrial equipment
Willingness and ability to work a rotational schedule as required
What Will Put You Ahead
Experience in aerospace, defense, electronics, or other regulated manufacturing environments
Experience with automated equipment, PLC‑controlled systems, or robotics
Preventive and predictive maintenance program experience
Familiarity with CMMS systems and maintenance documentation practices
Strong problem‑solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset
Ability to work independently and prioritize work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams
