Job Description
We are seeking an entry‑level Civil Engineer for our Special Projects Division. The role involves working on a diverse range of civil, industrial, and transportation infrastructure projects in downtown Long Beach, developing design and project management skills while delivering exceptional client service.

What You’ll Be Doing

Apply your engineering knowledge to diverse projects and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to devise innovative solutions in areas such as Railway Infrastructure, Stormwater Management, Port Facilities, Fisheries, Cruise Terminals, Small Boat Harbors, and Marinas.

Contribute to waterfront and industrial development projects, leveraging skills to drive successful outcomes.

Identify and overcome challenges through innovative problem‑solving and a combination of traditional and modern engineering techniques.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.

Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification preferred.

Minimum 1 year experience.

Willingness to work on a variety of projects.

AutoCAD and Civil 3D knowledge.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Physical Demands And Work Environment

Duties performed primarily in a standard office setting with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or computer table.

Occasional lifting of objects up to 15 lbs.

Occasional site visits and field inspections involving walking, standing, kneeling, or navigating uneven terrain.

Travel to project sites or client meetings, including driving or flying.

Compensation
The base salary for this role will be competitive and set based on the candidate's experience, education, and skills. The expected range for a qualified candidate with 1‑3 years of experience is $83,000‑$100,000, with performance‑based bonuses available.
