Responsibilities
Install, adjust, repair, and inspect heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment including forced air furnaces, boilers, water pumps, chillers, air conditioning units, exhaust fans, air filters, compressors, cooling towers, heat exchangers, refrigerators, and gas stoves.
Perform installation and repair of residential HVAC systems and refrigeration.
Review specifications prior to installation.
Conduct periodic performance checks of HVAC systems.
Complete preventative maintenance on HVAC systems.
Troubleshoot system issues, adjust settings, and perform performance tests using specialized tools.
Use hand and power tools safely to complete tasks.
Follow safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Document work completed.
Communicate with the Property Manager regarding building work projects or issues.
Respond to emergency work outside business hours if called.
Operate motor vehicles.
Order required materials to accomplish tasks.
Accountable for assigned company tools.
Follow safety guidelines and report workplace accidents.
Demonstrate respect, cooperation, consideration, and tact when dealing with peers, supervisors, clients, families, employees, and external contacts.
Perform any additional duties as deemed necessary.
Qualifications
3-5 years of HVAC experience.
Knowledge of HVAC equipment and tools.
Knowledge of local codes and standards.
