Job Description
GridHawk LLC, The Premier Provider for Utility Services, is seeking to fill the position for our Leak Survey Department. The Leak survey technician will predominantly be in the field, visiting various locations within a day’s work. They will utilize routing practices and should be well organized. This position works year‑round and requires employees to work in adverse weather conditions throughout the year. Employees will work in all areas of the St. Louis area and will be required to complete orders in all areas of the project. Employees will work ACI Inspections on indoor meters, Disconnect Non‑Payment of service, Disconnect Service Point, Meter Reads, Meter Removals, and any other assigned work the manager or customer requires.

All employees of GridHawk LLC are assigned proper technology and work vehicles in order to perform all work related duties. We will provide you the tools you need to achieve including: company vehicle, laptop and smartphone; uniforms and all personal protective equipment provided.

Description

Accurately detect and classify gas leaks while inspecting designated areas

Locate and accurately assess the origin of damage and gas leaks

Record and process effective data

Paperwork, notifications, etc.

Utilize tools in order to effectively complete job tasks

Use of prints, maps, and past records

Utilize locating tools, technology, and equipment

Effective communication with Project Management

Daily check ins

Completed reports

Target completion

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED certificate (Required)

Valid driver’s license (Required)

No more than 3 moving violations within a rolling 5 year period (Required)

Satisfactory background screening (Required)

Negative DOT pre‑employment drug screen (Required)

Essential Skills

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to be able to work smoothly with citizens, company, contractor representatives, and customers

Knowledge and understanding of safe worksite practices

Working within and utilizing existing utility standard designs

The use and basic maintenance of industry standard locating equipment

Experience using basic communication and tech devices

Physical Requirements

Capable of moving about on construction work sites, public streets and parkways

Capable of lifting up to 50/75lb

Ability to stand, walk, kneel or sit for extended periods

Hand‑eye coordination necessary to operate computers and various measurement, locating and testing instruments

Work Environment

Work safely outside in all weather conditions year‑round

Occasionally work in excavations areas and roadways

Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration

Hourly Pay
