About the Role
Auto Glass Technicians replace broken or pitted windshields and window glass in motor vehicles. This position is based in Panama City, FL.
Principle Functions and Responsibilities
Installs auto glass and other auto glass products in-shop or on a mobile basis.
Utilizes the proper tools and techniques to ensure efficient, timely, and quality installation service for Glass America customers.
Ensures required paperwork is completed and submitted to the appropriate person or location.
Maintains a safe and acceptable driving record in accordance with company policy.
May perform auto glass repairs as needed.
Loads glass in the truck as needed.
Immediately follows up with the Glass Manager on any problems arising during installation.
Maintains high levels of quality control.
Provides excellence in customer service.
Ensures all equipment is operating properly.
Immediately reports any accident or incident to the Glass Manager.
Complies with all company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook.
Maintains a good rapport with all supervisors and co-workers.
Education, Qualification, and Experience
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
4–6 years of related work experience required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Position requires no supervision of staff.
Skills and Abilities
Valid driver’s license.
At least 18 years of age.
Can stand for long periods during installation of glass.
Can stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Can use hands efficiently in handling glass.
Can lift up to 50 pounds.
Mechanical aptitude and skill to operate hand and power tools and equipment.
