Underground Pipeline Layer – El Paso, Texas (Job Number: 553033)
We are seeking experienced Underground Pipelayers for a project in El Paso, Texas. The hourly pay is negotiable. The project duration is 3 years, and weekly hours are 45 hours or more per week.

Responsibilities

Install sanitary sewer, stormwater sewer, and consumable water structures and pipe systems.

Layout pipe routes, following specifications or blueprints and coordinating layouts with the supervisor.

Cut pipes to required lengths.

Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction.

Align and position pipes to prepare them for welding or sealing.

Check slopes for conformance to requirements, using levels or lasers.

Connect pipe pieces and seal joints, using welding equipment, cement or glue.

Tap and drill holes into pipes to introduce auxiliary lines or devices.

Cover pipes with earth or other materials.

Grade and level trench bases, using tamping machines and hand tools.

Intimate and working knowledge of industry-standard hand signals.

Train others in pipe-laying techniques.

Other general labor and construction-related duties as required.

Qualifications

All work is performed outdoors in heat, cold, and inclement weather.

Exposure to all elements of nature.

Exposure to all types of terrain.

Exposure to loud noise.

Exposure to fumes, odors, gases, dusts, etc.

Work in close proximity to heavy traffic.

Periodic lifting of 10 to 50 pounds.
