Job Summary
GE Vernova is seeking an Experienced Electrical Commissioning & Services Technician to support commissioning and service activities on the Dogger Bank Offshore Wind Farm, helping to ensure safe and efficient turbine operation and technical handover across project and service phases.
Responsibilities
Carry out commissioning and service activities on Wind Turbine Generator systems (WTG)
Conduct testing, fault finding, maintenance and repair to support reliable turbine operation
Support daily handovers to maintain clear communication and continuity of work
Follow safe systems of work including permits, isolation, lock‑out/tag‑out procedures
Apply electrical knowledge to solve technical issues and ensure safe execution
Work across teams to maintain quality, reliability and operational performance offshore
Operate on a 2‑week on / 2‑week off rotation, living aboard the vessel during on‑shift periods
Qualifications
Recognised electrical qualification, apprenticeship or equivalent vocational training
Hands‑on experience in electrical maintenance, commissioning, testing, fault finding or retrofit work
Experience on wind turbines or in a similar industrial environment
Knowledge of LV/MW power distribution systems up to 1000 V AC / 1500 V DC
Experience installing, maintaining and troubleshooting power distribution boards
Ability to pass GWO (Global Wind Offshore Certification)
Strong understanding of safe systems of work, permits, isolation and risk controls
Clear communication skills and a safety‑first mindset
Additional Information
Remote position.
No relocation assistance provided.
Offshore rotation: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off.
