Controller (Manufacturing)
Salary: $150,000 - $185,000 per year

Responsibilities

Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.

Supervise the accounting team and provide guidance and support.

Develop and implement best practices for financial management and control.

Produce accurate and timely financial reports and present findings and recommendations to the management team.

Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and statutory requirements.

Work closely with external auditors to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.

Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts, and report variances.

Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit.

Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants.

Oversee the financial operations of subsidiary companies and foreign operations.

Manage any third parties to which financial functions have been outsourced.

Implement and manage financial systems, including Oracle.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior‑level finance or accounting position.

Proficiency in using financial software, particularly Oracle.

Strong understanding of economic and banking processes.

Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.

Solid experience coordinating audit activities and managing reporting, budget development and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, and accounting for investments.

Adept at process improvements and systems implementation.

Excellent leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and develop teams.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.

High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results‑orientation.

Strong problem‑solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
