
MATERIAL HANDLER II 2nd Shift Packaging

Job Overview
Implements procedures, tools, and techniques for moving materials throughout and from the manufacturing facilities.
Job Requirements
Place finished product in cartons for shipment to the distribution center
Generate shipping labels using RF guns
Load pallet with finished cartons, scan shipping labels to create and record a bill of lading, stretch wrap cartons and place on staged trailer bound for distribution center
Work with material planners on priority material to be shipped
Communicate with leaders for follow‑up or specific instructions daily
Unload pallet deliveries when asked
Operate manual pallet jacks and moving carts constantly
Receive reel request cards from stamping and plating
Assemble reels using an 8‑head staple machine
Move finished product to the area that placed the order
Notify shipping/receiving of any components needed
What Your Background Should Look Like
Second shift
High school diploma or GED required
Computer skills required
Ability to pass all pre‑employment physical testing
Ability to work in a team environment with other material handlers on shift as well as assembly/production operators
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift and carry a maximum weight of 30 lbs safely & dependably
Frequently required to extend arms and hands between knees & shoulders; frequent holding and grasping with hands
Frequent standing and walking is required in this job
