
Storeroom MRP Coordinator

About the Role
The Storeroom MRP Coordinator provides material ordering and procurement support for all production and maintenance operations at the Columbus Mill.
Responsibilities
Procure storeroom inventory materials through the SAP MRP program.
Issue, maintain, and update purchase orders for all storeroom materials.
Set up new inventory items, convert temporary numbers, and provide historical inventory data for material optimization.
Coordinate with vendors to confirm orders, ensure timely updates, and release blocked payments.
Assist with repairable asset management: determine shipping locations, maintain status reports, arrange shipments, and reconcile P‑Card activity.
Support the Storeroom Supervisor in inventory management and cover duties in their absence.
Coach and promote safety practices, adhere to SOPs, and ensure use of required safety equipment.
Perform physical tasks such as ascending ladders, carrying tools, and working in temperature extremes.
Qualifications
Ability to work in a HWPS team environment.
Demonstrated knowledge of inventory control methods and procedures.
Detail‑oriented with excellent problem‑solving skills.
Good understanding of the reconciliation process.
Proven record of Safe Work Practices.
Working knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Office, SAP or similar system).
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Broad knowledge of manufacturing equipment and parts.
Preferred : General accounting knowledge for inventory and P‑Card reconciliation.
Two to three years of procurement, purchasing, or storeroom experience.
Experience in a team‑based, customer‑ and quality‑focused organization.
Knowledge of and leadership in mill safety practices.
Strong computer skills including proficiency with SAP.
