The Multi-Domain Assured Navigation & Timing Applications (MANTA) group within the Mission Critical Products organization is hiring a
Senior Systems Engineer
to join our Maritime PNT organization in support of the Global Positioning System (GPS)-Based Positioning, Navigation and Timing Service (GPNTS) program. The Maritime PNT organization offers a challenging environment where you will collaborate to shape innovative solutions for our U.S. Navy customer.
What You Will Do
Review and analyze the system level requirements to develop verifiable system level requirements.
Develop and execute test plans, verification or acceptance test procedures, develop scripts (preferably Python) and utilize test equipment such as GPS simulators to verify system requirements and prove compliance.
Manage updates and timely release of CDRLs/SDRLs to improve documentation cycle time and customer satisfaction.
Contribute to technical interchange meetings and design reviews (TRR, PDR, CDR).
Provide verbal and written status on assigned Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) tasks.
Qualifications You Must Have
Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
Experience in Agile development and usage of Agile framework tools such as JIRA/Confluence.
Proficiency in DOORS NG.
Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals with ability to work with all engineering disciplines and program management.
Familiarity with EVMS, ETCs, and ECPs.
Ability to visualize system functionality, create block diagrams, and analyze system performance via analysis of customer requirements specifications.
Experience in system, software, and hardware requirements management, traceability, and allocation.
Experience in RF signal processing.
Experience with commercial test equipment such as DMM, oscilloscope, signal generator, spectrum analyzer, logic analyzer.
Experience in Development, System Test and Sell-off, involving hardware/software.
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an advanced degree with minimum 3 years of experience.
Active and transferable SECRET clearance required prior to start date.
Qualifications We Prefer
Minimum 5 years of experience in RF/IR signal processing, electronics, navigation (GPS or inertial), modeling, and simulation, aerodynamics, missile-related mechanical engineering.
Understanding of guidance and navigation systems and experience with GPS receiver system design, integration, test, verification, and validation.
Experience with test equipment, technical reviews, and production readiness.
Familiarity with subsystem or system architecture and system-of-systems definition.
Familiarity with MOSA/SOSA/VITA/FACE standards.
Ability to write clear engineering documentation.
