Access Healthcare Services Inc. is currently looking for Personal Support Workers (PSW) to service our home and community care clients in the Deep River region. Morning shifts are highly needed.
Government funded incentives
Up to $10,000 for recent graduates (April 1, 2023 onwards)
Up to $10,000 for PSW’s returning to the profession
Up to $10,000 for relocation to rural area
Up to $10,000 for recruitment in rural area
If you qualify you can claim multiple incentives (up to $30,000).

What we offer

What will you do
Assist clients with bathing (partial, complete, tub, or shower)
Assist clients with oral hygiene, hair care, dressing, and all activities of daily living
Assist clients with ambulation, transferring, and positioning in bed or chair
Assist with physio exercises, ROM, etc. as per therapist’s care plan
Assist clients with feeding and light meal preparation
Perform light housekeeping duties as per service plan
Make/change clients bedding as required
Assist clients with toileting or incontinence care
Assist and/or remind client to take medication (Do not administer medication)
Report any changes in health condition, or safety risks to immediate supervisor
Perform delegated tasks, specific to each client; delegated by nurse or immediate supervisor
What will you need
Personal Support Worker Certificate (or equivalent) from a licensed Canadian educational institution, DSW Certificate or a successful first year nursing completion
Proof of Covid-19 vaccination
Vehicle required with valid driver’s license
Car insurance with a liability of $2 million
Valid CPR
Step 2 TB Test (Completed within the last 2 years)
Vulnerable Sector Police Check (less than 3 months old)
Must be available to work every second weekend
Must be available for 20 hours per week minimum

Ability to travel up to 45 minutes if needed
Incentives

$10,000 to recent PSW graduates on or after April 1, 2023 in exchange for a 12-month commitment to AHSI.
$10,000 to PSW who were previously trained and, for the past 12 months, have not worked in a role providing direct patient, client or resident care as part of an organization providing health care or long-term care services in Ontario;
an additional $10,000 to support relocation costs for those recent PSW graduates committing to work with a home and community care employer in a rural, remote, or northern area for 12 months.
