Job Description
Quality Assurance and Compliance
Conduct inspections of OSP construction sites to verify compliance with project specifications, design standards, and regulatory requirements.
Evaluate construction activities, materials, and installations to ensure adherence to industry best practices and quality standards.
Identify deviations from approved plans or specifications and recommend corrective actions to maintain project integrity and performance.
Safety Monitoring
Monitor construction sites for adherence to safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), equipment operation, and workplace safety practices.
Identify potential safety hazards and work with construction teams to implement corrective measures to mitigate risks and ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training in telecommunications, construction inspection, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in OSP construction inspection, preferably in the telecommunications industry.
Thorough knowledge of OSP construction standards, practices, and safety regulations.
Familiarity with fiber optic network infrastructure components, installation techniques, and testing procedures.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve construction‑related issues effectively.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment, including measurement devices, testing instruments, and documentation software.
Certifications such as BICSI OSP Technician or equivalent are desirable; OSHA certification is also welcome.
