Job Summary
Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) seeks an HR Coordinator to support the Global Human Resources Manager across two core areas: recruiting operations and HR program support. This entry‑level role is suited to a detail‑oriented, tech‑savvy professional comfortable in a fast‑paced globally distributed environment. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience using AI tools in day‑to‑day work and a genuine interest in building efficient people‑operations systems.

Responsibilities

Manage job postings across IPA's careers page, job boards, and external platforms.

Maintain and update IPA's careers page to ensure accuracy and a positive candidate experience.

Coordinate with the social media team to promote open roles and employer brand content.

Schedule interviews, assessments, and debrief calls across time zones.

Conduct initial resume review and candidate shortlisting in support of hiring managers.

Support end‑to‑end recruitment for select roles, including candidate communications and offer coordination.

Maintain recruiting data and applicant tracking records to ensure pipeline accuracy.

Assist with performance management processes, including data collection, tracker maintenance, and coordination with country HR teams.

Run standard employee reports in systems including NetSuite, ADP, and Replicon.

Clean and organize HR data in spreadsheets for analysis and reporting.

Support HR project‑management activities, including tracking work plans, deadlines, and follow‑ups.

Help identify and implement process improvements, including opportunities to leverage AI and automation in HR workflows.

Support optimization and potential redesign of HR systems and tools.

Required Qualifications

1-3 years of experience in HR, recruiting, operations, or a related field.

Demonstrated experience using AI/LLM tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar) to augment day‑to‑day workflows – this is a firm requirement.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Professional proficiency in English is required.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a remote environment.

Must be legally authorized to work in Colombia or Peru.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in a nonprofit, research, or international development organization.

Familiarity with HR or recruiting systems (ADP, Greenhouse, Workday, or similar).

Interest in process design, systems thinking, or HR technology.

Location
This position is based in Colombia or Peru. IPA operates on a hybrid or remote basis in these locations.
