Job Summary
Responsible for overseeing and managing the movement of products in and out of the organization. This role involves supervising a team of shipping and receiving personnel, ensuring accurate documentation, coordinating with internal departments and external partners, and maintaining a well-organized and streamlined shipping and receiving process. Perform tasks to ensure proper loading, unloading, and storage of materials and finished products.
Job Responsibilities
Lead other shipping and receiving personnel (assign tasks, set priorities and monitor work as needed).
Check other employees loading bills for accuracy of their loads before the load leaves the yard. Take pictures of the loads for future verification purposes.
Move finished goods from the production transfer area out into the Shipping Yard.
Organize and rotate stock in the yard.
Receive raw material via van loads or flatbed loads that need to be unloaded in a time-sensitive manner.
Receive warehouse transfers of finished goods to be unloaded from flatbed trailers and place them in our yard for inventory.
Help on a team during Year End Inventory to accurately count and report inventory.
Additional duties may be added or changed at any time; responsibilities are not limited to those listed.
Job Requirements
At least 1 year of experience in warehousing.
Ability to operate a sit-down forklift.
Ability to perform basic math skills accurately.
Ability to read and write, and follow verbal and written instructions.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
