Material Handler II Weekend Night Shift

As a member of our supply chain team, you'll ensure our customers receive noticeably better service and that our products are delivered accurately and on time. With great attention to detail, while still seeing the big picture, you'll ensure all elements of the distribution process are considered and accounted for. Additionally, you'll assist our operations team in obtaining the lowest industry cost. Working closely with internal partners, customers and vendors, you'll provide a seamless and hassle-free logistics process.
Position Overview
Pay Range:
$27.88/hr - $29.17/hr + $4.00 Premium
Hours:
4:00pm - 4:30am; Friday - Sunday (Overtime as production demands).
Responsibilities
Develop a strong set of world class warehousing skills
Use your skills and talents to help the shipping department strive for and meet customers' needs and expectations
Be proactive and participate in daily meetings and project teams
Share and discuss ideas and solutions with your teammates and coach
Set goals and objectives; both personal and as a team member to acquire "superlative" performance in order to support The Johnsonville Way
Work with your coach to grow not only yourself but your team
Commit to unending personal and professional growth
Essential Functions/Duties
Safely operate stand-up forklifts, both counterbalanced and reach trucks
Safely operate pallet inverters and pallet wrappers
Safely operate scissor lifts
Distinguish non-acceptable and acceptable quality products
Use SAP and handheld RF scanners to accurately transfer materials
Pick and assemble outbound customer orders
Receive inbound finished goods and supplies
Identify proper storage and shipment temperatures for different products and supplies
Move product and other materials into and out of pallet racking
Build, prepare, and wrap pallets for shipment or storage
Load and unload semi-trucks and trailers
Maintain a clean and organized workspace
Experience
Experience working in a shipping/warehouse environment required
Experience operating forklifts required
Skills
Ability to take ownership of own and other Members' safety
Must be willing to work in temperatures as low as -20°F
Must be willing to occasionally work at heights up to 30 feet above the ground
Must be able to frequently lift up to 40 lbs
Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally
Based on business necessity, must be proficient in English.
