
FSQ Technician - Albuquerque Plant

OVERVIEW
Provide Food Safety and Quality leadership in Albuquerque, NM. The role works a 2-2-3 schedule and works from noon - midnight but will require some flexibility to support business needs.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Weekend analytical (chemical and physical) PCQI testing and coverage in the lab as needed
Lab cleaning and maintenance as needed
Lead trouble‑shooting efforts to assure accuracy & functionality of analytical equipment.
Support plant tests, capability studies and start-ups, as needed, including additional analytical test requests
Approval of product against specifications
Data entry into MQIS (statistical analysis database)
Lead execution of plant label verification program
Partner with team leaders and technicians to influence quality decisions and support production
Assist in development, maintenance, and execution of plant audit programs to assure effective execution of quality and food safety programs, such as Quality Index, FSRA (Food Safety and Regulatory Assessment), HACCP verification, Integrated Pest Management, GMPs
Sanitation responsibilities, including monthly titrations
Execute environmental monitoring swabbing in assigned areas. Follow up on mitigation and vectoring sites
Control of documentation and document review to support Preventive Control Requirements
Maintain the retire program for assigned department
Ownership and responsibility for tasks, programs and high‑quality work output
Strong organizational skills with an ability to handle multiple priorities
Willingness and ability to be flexible and adapt to changing job requirements
Provide leadership and support to the manufacturing teams to effectively resolve product quality and food safety issues. Provide technical and system analysis support for root‑cause investigations and foreign material contamination incidents
Sensory panel participation and program support
Lead and execute assigned programs to support the Food Safety Management System
Additional duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma
Strong problem‑solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and solving problems
Good communication and influence skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong statistical skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to think critically and analytically
Ownership and responsibility for tasks and high‑quality work output
Strong organizational skills with an ability to handle multiple priorities
Computer skills: Excel, Outlook, Word and ability to learn internal computer programs

SALARY RANGE
The salary range for this position is $47900.00 - $66000.00 / Annually.
