We are currently seeking a dedicated and accomplished Senior Scheduler for the Hudson Tunnel Project (HTP). This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to contribute to this landmark project that is poised to deliver transformative impacts across economic, transportation, and environmental sustainability. The busiest rail connection between New York, New Jersey, and the Northeast Corridor, the Hudson Tunnel Project will improve capacity, reliability, and resiliency of commuter and intercity rail transit serving 800,000 daily passengers from Washington, D.C. to New York and New England. This is a milestone project that is slated to receive nearly $12 billion in federal funding, the largest investment in a mass transit project in modern history.

Job Description
As the Senior Scheduler, you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of this significant project. Responsibilities

Develop detailed project schedules: Ensure all activities, milestones, and dependencies are fully integrated using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.

Manage Baseline Schedules: Conduct in-depth reviews of contractor‑submitted baseline schedules to ensure alignment with contract terms and project goals.

Validate Schedule Integrity: Assess logic, activity durations, sequencing, and critical path accuracy to confirm schedule feasibility.

Oversee Resource Allocation: Evaluate resource loading across schedule activities to support balanced and achievable execution plans.

Advise on Baseline Approval: Provide formal recommendations to leadership regarding acceptance or revision of baseline schedules.

Monitor CPM Performance: Ensure proper application of Critical Path Method techniques and track changes to critical and near‑critical paths.

Review Schedule Updates: Analyze monthly schedule submissions for accuracy, float usage, and consistency with approved baselines.

Coordinate Short‑Term Planning: Validate 3‑ and 6‑week lookahead schedules, resolve constraints, and compare actual vs. planned tunneling production rates.

Facilitate Stakeholder Engagement: Lead schedule review meetings, integrate technical feedback, and communicate schedule decisions to contractors.

Qualifications

Relevant degree in engineering, construction management or significant industry experience.

Membership of APM, RICS, CIOB, ICE, AACE, IRM, IEMA or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.

Mastery of project scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.

Experience in delivery in programs or portfolios of significant value >$1bn is a significant advantage.

Extensive experience in the successful planning of projects and programs in the construction planning sector.

Deep property or infrastructure project management expertise.

Strong commercial and financial acumen.

Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams.

Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.

Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.

Experience working with New York transit agencies such as PANYNJ, NJT, MTA, LIRR, Amtrak etc.

Experience within heavy civil programs/ projects, including tunnelling.

Experience in FTA projects is highly preferred.

Salary Type: Annual Salary

Salary Min: $125,000

Salary Max: $165,000

Currency Type: USD

Estimated starting salary for this position is $125,000 - $165,000. Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non‑discriminatory factors such as experience, skills and qualifications.
