Maintenance Mechanic - Weekends

Our Maintenance team plays a critical role in ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operations across the facility. As a Maintenance Technician, you will help keep production equipment, utilities, and facility infrastructure running smoothly. You’ll support a team committed to safety, precision, and continuous improvement—contributing directly to compliant and uninterrupted manufacturing operations.

The role & your impact
As a Maintenance Technician, you will maintain essential equipment and utilities through preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and support continuous improvement efforts. Your work reduces downtime, improves reliability, and ensures we maintain high operational and safety standards.

Your Key Responsibilities In This Role

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, machinery, and cGMP utility systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).

Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues quickly and effectively.

Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement lasting solutions.

Support site efficiency improvements and cost‑saving initiatives.

Manage inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies.

Coordinate work with contractors and external vendors.

Follow required safety procedures, including LOTO and PPE use.

Respond to emergencies such as critical equipment failures or power disruptions.

Complete all maintenance documentation in compliance with cGMP and SOP requirements.

Track maintenance metrics (KPIs) and equipment performance.

Train team members and support equipment setup or start‑up activities.

What you’ll need to be successful in this role

Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.

Hands‑on experience with mechanical and electrical systems.

Proficiency with motors, pumps, sensors, and core maintenance techniques (lubrication, alignment, machining).

Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.

Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).

Strong safety mindset and positive attitude.

Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.

Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Additional skills & interests we value

3+ years of experience in FDA‑regulated industries (pharma, food, etc.).

Certifications such as OSHA, EPA Refrigerant Handling, or electrician’s license.

Knowledge of PLCs, GMP requirements, and structured problem‑solving methodologies.

Compensation & benefits

$30-$35 an hour based on experience

401(k) with up to a 9% company contribution
