Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage the daily operation of the school library/media center, including overseeing student use of the computer lab
Plan and support engaging library/media classes in collaboration with classroom teachers
Catalog and process new materials using the library automation system in accordance with district procedures
Prepare and label books and materials, including those designated for Accelerated Reader programs
Perform routine book repair, maintenance, and assist with annual inventory of library materials
Monitor and track overdue materials; communicate with students and staff regarding returns and applicable fees
Maintain accurate student records within the library automation system, including enrolling new students
Organize, shelve, and maintain library collections, including books and audiobooks, ensuring accessibility and order
Support students and staff in locating and utilizing library resources and technology effectively
Demonstrate reliability and consistent attendance as an essential function of the position
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the building principal and corporation media specialist
Hours:
School-year position; number of days aligned with the student calendar at 183 days per year
Daily schedule to be determined by the building principal and the corporation media specialist
Occasional additional hours may be required for special events, inventory, or training

$13.50 to $15.50 Per Hour
