How This Role Works
Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts'):
You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:
In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.
This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
Responsibilities
Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by following site-specific access control procedures, credential verification practices, and emergency response activities at the location.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or visitor authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access to production, warehouse, and other restricted areas.
Document visitor, contractor, and/or delivery activity, maintain accurate access logs, and communicate security-related concerns, unusual activity, and policy violations to site leadership.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting de-escalation and coordinating with emergency services when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including checkpoints tied to gates, parking areas, loading zones, and other access-sensitive areas where working conditions may vary by location.
Minimum Requirements
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
