We are seeking a Train Dispatcher to ensure the safe and efficient movement of trains and on‑track vehicles within the dispatching district. All candidates must be available for a 12‑week training program in Wilmington, DE.

Minimum Qualifications

Coordinate and prioritize maintenance of track and signal work, together with the efficient movement of trains.

Be conversant with Amtrak’s obligations to other railroads and contracts.

Keep supervisors informed of all situations that may affect the safe and efficient/on‑time operation of all trains.

Be available for various shifts and schedules.

High School Diploma or GED required.

Preferred Qualifications

Qualified on the NORAC operating rules and Amtrak timetable special instructions, as outlined in the Train Dispatcher’s Manual and other federal regulations.

Communications And Interpersonal Skills

Have excellent oral and written communication skills.

Compensation and Benefits
The hourly range is

$40.40 – $53.86

with opportunities for increases per the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
