Job Description
The Production Operator sets up, operates, and monitors pharmaceutical processing and packaging equipment in a cleanroom environment while strictly adhering to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and safety guidelines. This role follows written and verbal instructions, performs basic preventive maintenance, and supports weighing, labeling, packaging, and shipping preparation activities to ensure products meet quality standards and daily production goals.
Responsibilities
Operate pharmaceutical processing and packaging equipment in compliance with cGMP and established SOPs.
Follow specific written and verbal instructions from supervisors to complete production tasks accurately and on time.
Work in cleanroom environments and clean rooms and equipment according to standard procedures.
Perform routine and varied preventive maintenance duties on production and packaging equipment as directed.
Operate related and miscellaneous production equipment and promptly report any defects, malfunctions, or irregularities.
Weigh materials and products accurately to support filling, packaging, and shipment preparation.
Label packages correctly and prepare shipping request forms in accordance with internal procedures.
Organize daily work to achieve production goals with no errors or deficiencies in documentation or product quality.
Follow and adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures and safety precautions at all times.
Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to coordinate workflow and resolve issues.
Function as an active member of a production team, supporting colleagues to meet shared objectives.
Perform visual inspection of products and packaging to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Carry out general production and packaging tasks such as filling, packing, and staging materials as needed.
Complete required production and quality documentation accurately and legibly.
Perform other related duties as required to help the organization meet its overall goals.
Essential Skills
Experience operating production or packaging machinery in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to follow and comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Understanding of and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Hands‑on experience with machine operation, including starting, stopping, and monitoring equipment.
Ability to perform basic weighing of materials and products with accuracy.
Experience in general production activities such as filling, packaging, and inspection.
Attention to detail to prevent errors and ensure product quality and accurate labeling.
Ability to organize work to meet daily production goals and deadlines.
Effective communication skills to work within a team and interact with other departments.
Commitment to following all safety procedures and maintaining a clean, compliant work area.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Prior experience as a production operator, packaging operator, or machine operator in a regulated environment.
Familiarity with cleanroom practices and controlled manufacturing environments.
Ability to identify and report equipment defects or abnormalities promptly.
Comfort with performing visual inspections of products and packaging.
Willingness to perform a variety of tasks and support different stages of the production process.
Reliability and strong work ethic, with a focus on accuracy and consistency.

Multiple shifts are available: 1st shift from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., 2nd shift from 3:15 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., and 3rd shift from 11:15 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. The environment is team‑oriented, structured around SOPs and GMP requirements, and focused on quality, safety, and consistency in daily operations.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $39,520.00 – $41,600.00 per year.
$1 shift diff for 2nd shift and $1.50 shift diff for 3rd shift.
