ETAS Inc. has an upcoming opportunity for a Finance Operations Support Internship position at our office in Lexington, KY. This role is designed to provide a comprehensive look at federal financial operations. Open to students pursuing degrees in Finance, Accounting, or Economics. However, we also welcome candidates focused on Business Management, Contract Management, and Procurement who have a strong interest in financial operations and data analysis.

Enterprise Technical Assistance Services, Inc. (ETAS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Professional Project Services, Inc. (Pro2Serve). ETAS was formed and dedicated to supporting the Department of Energy (DOE) Portsmouth/Paducah Project Office (PPPO) with technical and management services contributing to the safe and cost‑effective implementation of environmental remediation and decontamination and decommissioning of the nation’s Cold‑War‑era uranium gaseous‑diffusion plants in Ohio and Kentucky. The parent company, Pro2Serve, is a nationally recognized environmental, technical, and engineering services firm dedicated to providing critical environmental management services to reduce the Nation’s environmental liabilities and infrastructure engineering services in support of national security. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Budgetary Support & Shadowing : Shadow the finance team in daily operations and assist with routine budgetary tasks to gain exposure to federal project accounting.
Contractor Spend Plans : Assist with the collection and organization of spend plans from various contractors to ensure all data is tracked and accounted for.
Cost Modeling : Support the update of internal cost models by inputting contractor data and assisting with the visual display of financial information.
Finance Operations : Assist with routine financial administrative functions, including the organization of contract files and maintaining SharePoint structures.
Data Verification : Assist in cross‑referencing and validating financial information from multiple sources to ensure data consistency and accuracy.
System Compliance : Aid in maintaining documentation to support approved accounting, procurement, and earned value management systems.
Professional Collaboration : Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with the team and other key stakeholders.
Qualification Requirements

Education/Experience
Pursuing a bachelor's degree and have completed a minimum of two (2) semesters or three (3) quarters of academic coursework towards a specified degree relevant to ETAS’ scope of work.
Have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret written documents such as regulations, standards, operating and maintenance instruction and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
Mathematics and Reasoning Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts. Ability to identify problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
Other Skills/Abilities
Ability to make mathematical calculations with reasonable speed and accuracy. Ability to operate office copier, fax, calculator, and computer.
