Part‑time shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 7:00am - 5:00pm
Up to 28 hours/week
OVERVIEW
Embark on your journey as a part‑time Warehouse Associate, where you’re at the heart of our operations. You’ll handle the ebb and flow of products as they enter and leave the facility, and you’ll dive into the world of inventory management for a leader in industrial distribution. This position is in our Syracuse, NY branch and may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Managing and maintaining branch inventory
Receiving, picking, packaging, shipping, and cycle counting inventory
Making local deliveries with a company vehicle as necessary
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
Performing other duties as needed to ensure branch success
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
18 years of age or older, due to the nature of work
Possess a current full valid driver’s license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) and meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as needed
Proficient written and oral communication skills
Proficient computer skills
Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment
Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
Highly motivated, self‑directed and customer‑service oriented
Demonstrate attention to detail and strong sense of urgency
Work independently as well as in a team environment
Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity, and teamwork
Lift, slide, carry, and lower packages that typically weigh 25‑50 lbs and may weigh up to 75 lbs
Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)
Pass a background check, required by a customer/contract serviced by this location
PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience receiving, shipping, sorting or managing inventory
PART‑TIME BENEFIT
Fastenal offers a 401(k) with an employer contribution.
COMPENSATION
The pay range for this position is $16/hr – $21/hr.
