Job Summary
Join our team as a Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) Technician, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems.
Document and calculate results accurately.
Take corrective action when necessary, alerting personnel, segregating non‑conforming products, and reporting results to management.
Handle additional assignments as requested.
Shift and Pay
This position works B shift. Pay $28.55 per hour, paid weekly.
Working Conditions
Environment: Normal for a food manufacturing setting.
Physical Requirements: Lifting up to 75 pounds.
Safety Equipment: Steel‑toed work boots, hard hats, safety glasses, hairnets, beard nets (if applicable), and smocks.
Restrictions: Cell phones and jewelry not permitted on the factory floor.
Requirements
Education: High school diploma or GED.
Experience: Minimum 1 year in food manufacturing or related QA experience.
Communication and Special Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must have skills to complete Tyson paperwork.
Ability to lead by example and motivate the workforce.
Strong problem identification and problem‑solving skills.
Mathematics and organizational skills.
Ability to read and interpret product specifications.
Comfortable working under stress and flexible to work where and when needed.
Physical Requirements
Willing and able to lift up to 75 lbs.
Stand on a hard surface for up to 12 hours per day.
Work in temperatures ranging from 30–90°F.
Work in wet environments.
Repetitive bending, reaching, squatting, gripping, pushing, and pulling.
Reach high and low levels frequently.
Climb step ladders or stairs.
Work overtime and weekends as needed.
Position requires Lock Out Tag Out certification.
