Lead Electrician Foreman in Holly

Job Summary
We are seeking experienced electricians with underground service experience to join our crew performing underground excavation with conduit installations and projects across multiple states within the contiguous United States. This involves precise underground work at active retail fueling sites, where a safety‑conscious mindset is required. We value people who take great pride in their work. Each crew will be working for two to three weeks on, and one week off (this may be subject to change).

Key Job Responsibilities

Perform ground penetrating radar (GPR) scans to locate existing utilities (training provided if required).

Operate a walk‑behind concrete saw.

Operate or assist company‑owned hydro‑vac trucks for safe potholing and trenching around existing utilities.

Operate heavy equipment (i.e.: skid steer, mini‑excavator, high volume air compressor, and walk behind concrete saw).

Understand how to install PVC, rigid conduit, Class 1 Div. 1 conduit body seal‑offs.

Backfill trench work and concrete pouring & finishing to close off trenches. Coordinate concrete delivery & pour.

Set up and maintain temporary barricading for site safety, pedestrian control, and traffic control.

Coordinate disposal of site waste (concrete spoils and hydrovac material) at local dumps.

Maintain clean, safe & professional work areas.

Complete daily documentation, including job details and photographs. General computer skills required.

Host daily toolbox talks and safety meetings.

Qualifications

Minimum of three years of experience in commercial electrical underground utility or concrete flatwork.

Petroleum construction technician experience is a bonus.

Comfortable with concrete saw cutting and restoration work.

Experience with or willingness to learn hydrovac operations and GPR scanning.

Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to our main office in Holly, Michigan.

Commercial driver's license (CDL) is a bonus but not required; State Electric can assist in obtaining one if willing.

Ability to travel overnight, up to four weeks at a time.

Physically capable of lifting 75 pounds and working in outdoor conditions year‑round (hot or cold).

A strong safety mindset and commitment to following fuel station hot work and confined space protocols.

OSHA 10 or higher but not required; State Electric can assist in obtaining one if required.

Salary:

$35.00 - $55.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications).

Expected Hours:

40+ per week.
