Transformation – Workday Manager
As a Workday Manager within the Transformation Practice, you will help organizations proactively shape and implement their overall strategy and supporting initiatives. You will play a key role in delivery of engagements and work with senior client leaders to demonstrate subject matter expertise as we seek to help them implement solutions in support of their broader strategy and create value.
Responsibilities
Assist in full life‑cycle implementations including planning, design, and build phases
Document business requirements, system design, and transformational goals
Configure applications and conduct iterative unit testing
Create training materials and quick reference guides to support user adoption
Conduct training classes to prepare end users for deployment
Provide post‑production support
Manage resources and budget on client projects
Lead teams in identifying business requirements, functional design, process design (including scenario design, flow mapping), prototyping, testing, training, and defining support procedures
Identify business opportunities to increase usability and profitability of information architecture
Demonstrate experience with program leadership, governance, and change enablement
Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization)
Assist practice leadership in creating proposals, budgets, and work plans; participate in business development activities as appropriate
Interview campus and/or experienced candidates
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Information Technology, MIS, or related field required; a Master’s degree is a plus
4–6 years of related consulting experience serving cross‑industry clients at a national level
Minimum of four full life‑cycle implementations of Workday
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of software development lifecycles, key metrics, and reports
Experience with ERP application integration and back‑end data connectivity applications
Experience installing, configuring, and implementing Oracle applications
Knowledge of Workday ERP (Financials, SCM, etc.)
Proven ability to deliver complex and time‑sensitive projects
Strong leadership skills, including conducting meetings and writing technically oriented documents
Ability to work with clients to understand current state processes and define future state processes based on business objectives
Availability to work additional hours as needed
Ability to travel to various client sites as needed on short notice; travel percentage up to 40%
Consistent with the firm’s hybrid work model, this position will require in‑person attendance at least two days per week, either at a GT office or client site
