Description
Position Summary:
Partners with Team Leader(s) to make our customers successful by embracing AJA’s Vision. Under the direction of the department manager, leads Controls Team Members in the production of mid to high complexity electro‑mechanical assemblies per schedule and partners with Team Leaders to supervise the day‑to‑day operations.
Essential Role Responsibilities
Partners with Team Leader(s) to address employee relations concerns to include but not limited to: disciplinary action, payroll inquiries, time off request(s), training new and current Team Members on assembly procedures /processes, scheduling, and performance appraisals.
Prepares, assigns, and oversees work and associated documentation.
Responsible for quality control on product line, inventory accuracy, and the maintenance of standard operating procedures.
Manages Customer returns along with associated documentation to full resolution.
Resolves part shortages and material discrepancies.
Ensures effective communication is maintained with all Team Leaders/Members and the enforcement of safety policies and procedures.
Maintains clean and functional work stations and troubleshoot equipment as necessary.
Performs other related duties as assigned by Team Leader(s).
Qualifications
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Action/ detail oriented, strong leadership, and drive for results
Knowledge of production/quality standards, and assembly procedures/processes
Must work well independently and make sound business decisions
Must be a team player with the ability to work in multi‑task environment
Ability to utilize a PC to retrieve various engineering documents including but not limited to: schematics, assembly layouts, test procedures, and work instructions
Ability to perform and document in‑circuit and functional tests using various custom test equipment
Knowledge of all processes used in the electrical department included but not limited to: surface mount equipment, reflow/wave solder ovens, various electronic test equipment (multi‑meters, oscilloscope, counters etc.), various microcontrollers using PCB based programmers, and conformal coating machines
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), MRP Systems, blueprints, bill of materials (BOM’s), and QAD (Preferred)
Essential Education & Experience
Minimum High School Diploma and/ or G.E.D (Required) additional education (Preferred)
Associates Degree in Electronics or Military Electronics Training (Preferred)
3-5 years electro‑mechanical assembly and repair
2-3 years supervisory experience
Experience with bed of nail in‑circuit (Preferred)
