Job Description – Security Team Leader (HOT0CI0U)
Work Locations
Hilton Garden Inn, Puchong Paetaling, District TBC
Responsibilities
Supervise each security operation shift, ensuring adequate patrol patterns and frequencies to safeguard guests and team members.
Familiarize with and check hotel fire equipment and evacuation passages.
Ensure Security Guards report maintenance issues to the Engineering department promptly.
Familiarize with each department’s work procedures, security knowledge and emergency procedures, supervising each position’s professional knowledge and work standard.
Conduct random bag inspections of team members entering and leaving the building.
Ensure asset removal policy is adhered to, preventing unauthorized removal of hotel assets.
Arrange escort services for team members carrying cash, as required.
Maintain perimeter patrols at points of entry and egress, ensuring no loiterers in the hotel premises.
Professionally assess team members’ work knowledge, discipline and responsibilities.
Convey and carry out the department’s work arrangements and training plans.
Conduct random inspections of the hotel to verify security practices, unobstructed fire exits, clear fire hose reel doors, and proper clearance between stacked goods and sprinkler heads.
Take appropriate action to resolve guests’ complaints, communicating professionally and effectively.
Be familiar with current first‑aid and fire‑emergency procedures.
Ensure a high level of cleanliness and tidiness in your work area.
Maintain a professional appearance up to Hilton standards, demonstrating a good attitude and behaviour at all times.
Interact with team members in a professional and positive manner to foster rapport, promote team spirit and ensure effective two‑way communication.
Adhere to the hotel’s policies and procedures, Hilton code of conduct, and the hotel’s team member handbook.
Carry out other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
High School or Secondary Vocational School graduate.
Possess a pass for C‑level examinations in English.
Proficient with hotel security, public security, fire control and management.
Familiar with fire and traffic safety laws and regulations.
Able to organize and direct staff according to job specifications to complete tasks.
