Position Overview
The Activity Security Representative (ASR) Level 3 provides advanced, multi-disciplined security support to a customer facility and organization. This position delivers daily operational support across
Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Program (SAP)
environments, while also contributing to compliance, oversight, and team leadership efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct classification reviews of inbound and outbound correspondence
Maintain document accountability databases and associated records
Process inbound and outbound classified mail, courier packages, and receipts
Perform destruction of classified materials in accordance with established procedures
Manage accountability and control of magnetic media
Maintain daily logs and administrative records related to document control
Support inbound and outbound data transfer processes and file distribution
Maintain and update customer point-of-contact databases
Process, track, and maintain visit requests and visitor access documentation
Escort visitors and maintain accurate visitor control logs
Assist in the preparation and issuance of facility access badges
Conduct entry and exit inspections and enforce access control procedures
Support and maintain facility access control systems, including visitor management
Perform data entry and record maintenance within personnel security systems (e.g., PSS, AFADS)
Maintain personnel security files and ensure accuracy of access records
Review, track, and coordinate security clearance processing with government personnel
Support security education, awareness, and compliance programs
Ensure adherence to customer Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and security policies
Participate in Air Force SAP security compliance inspections
Implement and manage Top Secret Control procedures for accountable materials
Prepare, process, and review Program Access Requests (PARs) for accuracy and eligibility
Execute Special Access Program nomination processes and questionnaires
Conduct eligibility and background checks using systems such as DCII, JPAS, and SAPNP
Perform indoctrinations and security briefings for personnel
Provide leadership, mentoring, and quality assurance for junior team members
Perform additional administrative and security support duties as directed
Required Qualifications
5–7 years of related security experience
Experience supporting SCI and/or SAP environments
Working knowledge of security systems such as JPAS, DCII, AFADS, or equivalent
Strong understanding of DoD security policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
Desired Qualifications
Experience supporting Air Force or DoD environments
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Education & Certification Equivalency
Bachelor’s Degree = 4 years of experience
Associate’s Degree = 2 years of experience
Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) = 1 year of experience
Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) = 1 year of experience
Maximum substitution for SPED certifications: 3 years total
