
Quality Assurance Coordinator

Reporting to the Safety, Quality and Logistics Manager the Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for maintaining CORE Linepipe’s quality management system. The Quality Assurance Coordinator will maintain a quality presence within the plant and in the field as needed to address any issues which negatively affect the quality of products. They will support the process owners in maintaining QA procedures, manuals and manufacturing procedures.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintenance and continuous improvement of the CORE quality program and culture
Ensure contract-specific inspection and QA activities are carried out in accordance with the requirements of the contract.
Final inspection of pipe prior to release from shipment. Verifying completeness of equipment, finish, tally sheet and general compliance with the sales order. This may include:
First off inspection
In-line inspection
Pre-shipment inspection
Raw Materials review, vendor data
Incoming material inspection review
Vendor quality inspections
Dimensional inspection of pipe unit against the specifications
Initiate and follow up on NCRS (Non-Conformance Reports), ECR (Engineering Change Requests) CAPA (Corrective Action Preventative Action) with departments, vendors and customers as needed. Ensuring they are resolved in a timely manner.
Conduct investigations of non-conformities and CAPAs in coordinate with relevant departments and subject matter experts to reduce quality issues
Support maintenance and continuous improvement of QA procedures, manuals and documentation.
Lead internal QA audits
Auditing activities of QA procedures as identified in the Quality Management System
Tracking quality statistics and trends
Update and maintain SiteDocs data and forms regarding the QMS
Create, maintain, and continuously improve Quality Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) to meet customer, regulatory, and internal requirements
Support customer visits, audits, and inspections related to quality requirements and compliance
Other
All other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & EDUCATION
5+ years of related experience in safety and quality in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of statistical methods, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and other quality and safety tools.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Must be able to meet target dates and prioritize and practice excellent time management skills.
Skills in problem-solving, administration, supervision, planning, communications, decision making and follow-up.
Proficient in MS Office.
Experience leading teams, driving change, and managing cross-functional projects.
